Telecom Transmission & Radio Communication Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
Total maintenance of SDH & PDH System, Microwave Radio System
- Visual Inspection checks, General cleaning / dusting, Integrity checks, Functionality tests
- Fault reports, corrective action, Rectification of all faults, PM procedures/checklists
- Replacement of faulty hardware/software with new spare, programming and reconfiguration
Total maintenance of DC UPS System (Rectifiers & Batteries)
- Check UPS parameters, Battery Terminals, Functionality tests, Clean the UPS and Battery, Checking distilled water level
- Replace cooling fan and capacitor
- Fault reports, corrective action, Rectification of all faults, PM procedures/checklists
Requirements:
Min. 3 Year experience in troubleshooting and carrying out field repairs, modifications, etc. of related systems.
Previous work experience in Oil & Gas facility or equivalent offshore environment is desirable and will be an added advantage.
Minimum secondary school education with full time technical education (Diploma) in electronics & Telecommunication Discipline.
Moderate level of written & spoken English. Qatar Driving License preferred.
Radio Communication Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
Total maintenance of Radio System (UHF/VHF/TETRA/NDB/ P-P/ TEMPSC/Marine/ Airband, etc.), Radio Dispatcher
System, Antenna & Feeder System
- Visual Inspection checks (incl. Alarms)
- General cleaning / dusting, etc.
- Integrity checks
- Functionality tests (including updated antenna loading details)
- Any Abnormalities / faults found to be carried to fault report for necessary follow-up corrective action (that requires spares
and repairs)
- Additional PM procedures/checklists as per QP recommendations as applicable
- Rectification of all faults identified during PM that requires no spares and repairs as applicable (including any programming
and reconfiguration)
- Replacement of faulty hardware/software with new spare, programming and reconfiguration as applicable
Requirements:

Weather Monitoring System, Nurse Call System, Audio Logger/ Recorder System, SMATV System, Tower Light System
- Visual Inspection checks (incl. Alarms)
- General cleaning / dusting, etc.
- Integrity checks
- Functionality tests
- Any Abnormalities / faults found to be carried to fault report for necessary follow-up corrective action (that requires spares
and repairs)
- Additional PM procedures/checklists as per QP recommendations as applicable
- Rectification of all faults identified during PM that requires no spares and repairs as applicable (including any programming
and reconfiguration)
- Replacement of faulty hardware/software with new spare, programming and reconfiguration as applicable
Requirements:
3 Years experience with the installation and maintenance of various aerials/antennas, feeders, tower light, etc. on telecom
towers/mast/pole and associated testing activities.
Computer literate with good knowledge of all associated safety requirements and best practices for safety carrying out the
works on telecom towers/aerials/masts in compliance with the safety requirements.
Excellent level of written and spoken English with Qatar Driving license
Contract Period: 5 years
