Cook - Hot Kitchen


Position Overview: The Hot Section is responsible for the production of all hot menu items coming from the stove top and fryer, from receiving the raw material items from central kitchen until delivery to the guest. Core responsibilities include:
Checklist for the shift.
Check if the chiller is standard (0-4 c).
Check the production and expiry dates.
Advise the supervisor if any item is out of stock or expired.
Continuously clean the section throughout the day.
Change the oil of the fryer every 3 days (depending on the darkness of the oil).
Proper portioning and measurement of the ingredients & spices.

Objectives Brief Consistent high level of Health & Safety standards, cleanliness, communication and organizational skills. Ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Accountable for audit and constant training of staff.
Duties Constantly abide by all Health & Safety Standards set up by government municipality.
Complete P.I.C. Certification with passing score.
Must always have a high standard for guest interaction, respectfulness of local cultures and general understanding that our patrons are GUESTS and not customers.
Follow all SOPs within company.
All daily, weekly and monthly reports are to be completely filled out as required.
Adhere to all audit points.


Ensure Hospitality staff are properly trained in all facets of their personal AOR and Job Descriptions. This includes personal knowledge and accountability for all direct reports job descriptions.
To hold staff accountable for all AORs and Job Descriptions.
To approach all dine in guests, at table, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Handle guest comments, both positive and those that identify an area of opportunity to ensure that the guests leave the restaurant satisfied.
Coach and help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behavior, facilitate understanding of problem solving and team work.
Maintain high levels of communication with staff and management following Lines of Communication.
Adhere to proper use of all chemicals. Ensuring to follow guidelines set on the chemical container label.
Able to attend to other tasks as deemed necessary by Management



Waiters


Job Description :
Communicates directly with guests i.e. presents menus, helps with recommendations, receives orders, places orders and handles payments.
Planning & executing F&B service process in the section assigned for the particular shift.
Learning and performing inventory control and stocking up of food and beverage supplies.
Menu knowledge.
Handling guest complains and resolving the same with complete guest satisfaction.
Operating POS systems.
Order taking skills.
Service of Food and drinks to guests as per the SOPs.
Managing store and packaging supplies.
Performing daily side work and section clean up duties.
Ensures proper appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming whilst on duty.
Reports cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
Handles guest complaints as per instructions or consults the immediate Supervisor.
Helps in other areas of the if the situation requires.
To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills.
To adhere to rules and regulations at all times.
To assist the Duty Manager in any task outlined

EXPERIENCE
2 to 3 years of experience in hotel / restaurants
UAE experience preferred

Cashier


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To be responsible for cashiers house fund, and its safekeeping.
To ensure that a check is made and recorded in the POS system for every food & beverage sale in the outlet.
To ensure that a check is made and recorded in the POS system for any meals consumed by employees, or any service offered to guests as complimentary or entertainment.
To enter opening and closing check number used in his/her shift and ensure that checks are used serially and all checks are accounted for.
To open a guest check in the POS system, punching orders, splitting and transferring tables, settling checks as cash, food charge, credit card or city ledger.
To prepare cashiers summary and tally it with Micros (POS) reading at the close of his/her shift.
To print and tally transaction list from credit card machines with physical check and Micros reading.
To prepare deposit envelop, write the deposit amount in cashiers deposit sheet.
Handling guest complains and resolving the same with complete guest satisfaction.
Generating POS reports and managing daily petty cash bills
Managing stationery and other cashiering supplies
Performing daily side work and section clean up duties.
Must be able to do Suggestive / Upselling
Opening/Closing of cash with proper handover between each shift.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all the times.
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

Any graduate

EXPERIENCE

One-year experience as a cashier in Hotel or restaurant
UAE experience preferred


BARISTA / TEAM MEMBERS


Responsible for making coffee
Organizing the bar
Maintain beverage inventory
Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Attends regular training sessions
Ensures proper appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming whilst on duty.
Works (hands on) towards the timely set up of the assigned Food & Beverage outlet, according to the meal settings and in line with the opening hours.
Maintains a professional / friendly, yet discreet relationship with the outlet patrons to ensure their well-being.
Makes himself / herself familiar with all menus, promotions, and other relevant issues concerning the outlet (product knowledge).
Reports cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
Attends all regular departmental briefings and contributes to an open communication
Familiar with the companys internal policies and safety procedures
Helps in other areas of the if the situation requires.
To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times.
To adhere to rules and regulations at all times.
To report any equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department.
To pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department.
To participate in any Training/Developments schemes as recommended by senior management.
To comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability.
To ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION
High School Graduate preferred

EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years of successful multi-unit leadership experience in full service environment
Multi-national experience in the field of restaurants (UAE/Saudi experience preferred)
Multi-national experience in the below brands (UAE/Saudi experience preferred)
