Senior Mechanical Engineer for Ministry in Doha (Qatar)

Experience: 7 to 12 yrs.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer  -   Required for GOVERNMENT MINISTRY in Doha-Qatar.

JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     Working as a Mechanical Engineer in Design / Supervision Division, you will be responsible for developing sustainable building services designs on numerous major projects including governments, residential tower, healthcare and mixed-use developments.
      Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:

• Performing engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, reports, conceptual and final design, cost estimates, and engineering calculations.
• Researching, planning, designing and developing sustainable mechanical systems, including but not limited to water, drainage, firefighting and grey water systems.
• Evaluating and analyzing statistical data, customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Working knowledge of local and international design codes, including NFPA and public health systems authority requirements in the UAE. 
• Working knowledge of relevant Estidama and LEED concepts required to carry out the necessary calculations and obtain approvals.
• Experience using computer design tools including AutoCAD and Revit is essential. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• B. SC. in mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional registration such as C Eng, PE or similar is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years experience
• Excellent command of English Language.
• Prior experience working with a consultancy in the Gulf Region will be advantage.
