Control System Engineer


Experience: 15 to 25 yrs.  | Salary: U.S Dollars 30,000 - 40,000 P.A

The Control System Engineer (CS E) will be responsible for the detail engineering of Control System discipline for lump sum turnkey small to medium size plants projects in the oil, petrochemical and power sectors. This will include stationary equipment, rotating equipment, vendor packages and fired heaters engineering, requisitioning, review of vendor drawings and construction installation, and testing work. CS E will also be responsible for preparation of proposals and execution (management, detail engineering, procurement construction, pre-commissioning and handover) to achieve timely completion, cost within budget and projects Control System and process specified performances.

This position plays the key role for the development of the lump sum turnkey work and its contribution to AYTBs (hereinafter called Company) business, through the successful bidding and execution of these contracts. The CS E will report to the Projects Leader and will be supported by the other discipline engineering, project control, and procurement and construction staff.

Responsibilities & duties

Responsibility 1 

Supporting the preparation of the lump sum engineering, procurement and construction (LS EPC) proposals on the Control System work discipline based on the received request for quotations (RFQ) from clients. 

In the performance of this responsibility the CS E will be supported by Proposal team

Work standards and Performance

In the performance of this responsibility, the CS E will follow the set Company procedures and set authority levels

- The performance of the CS E on this area will be evaluated based on correct and accurate scoping and pricing of the proposals

Responsibility 2

Managing and coordinating the execution of the LS EPC contracts Control System work. 

In the performance of this responsibility the CS E will be supported by Project Management Team

Work standards and Performance 

In the performance of this responsibility, the CS E will follow the Company procedures and set authority levels

The performance of the CS E on this area will be evaluated based on achievements of each project KPIs for the Control System work on facilities performance, cost, schedule and safety

Essential Desirable

Bachelor Degree in Control System or Electrical engineering 
-Memberships in PMI and engineering
institutes
-Courses in project management

Work experience & skills

Essential Desirable

- Minimum 15 years experience in the oil and gas , petrochemical or power projects 
- Minimum 7 years experience in the execution of the oil and gas , petrochemical or power projects control system and field instruments engineering work for field instruments, DCS, ESD, process computers, PLC, instruments cables, analysers, flow meters...etc.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office and Microsoft project softwares
- Fluent in English speaking and writing. - Past experience in working with major clients 
- Past experience in working with engineering company

3. General Engineering Services (GES) contractor Work with the GES contractor for successful submittal of engineering proposals and execution of LS EPC Contracts including the review/ approval of GES contractor drawings, specifications and documents.

4. Client Work with the client for successful submittal of proposals and execution of LS EPC Contracts Control System work.

5. Company internal departments Work with the company internal department for successful submittal of proposals and execution of LS EPC Contracts.

6. Vendors and Subcontractors (SC) Manage the vendors and subcontractors and ensure fulfilment of the dully signed POs and contracts and timely execution and delivery including the review/ approval of vendors/ SC contractor drawings, specifications and documents. CS E will also perform any required inspection work and witnessing of tests

7. AYTB Construction and Fabrication The CS E will provide all the required Control System engineering assistance/ inspection during the construction work

Civil/ Structural Engineer

The Civil/ Structural Engineer (C/S E) will be responsible for the detail engineering of Civil/ Structural discipline for lump sum turnkey small to medium size plants projects in the oil, petrochemical and power sectors. This will include stationary equipment, rotating equipment, vendor packages and fired heaters engineering, requisitioning, review of vendor drawings and construction installation, and testing work. C/S E will also be responsible for preparation of proposals and execution (management, detail engineering, procurement construction, pre-commissioning and handover) to achieve timely completion, cost within budget and projects Civil/ Structural and process specified performances.

ME will also be responsible for preparation of proposals and execution (management, detail engineering, procurement construction, pre-commissioning and handover) to achieve timely completion, cost within budget and projects mechanical and process specified performances.

Essential Desirable

- Minimum 15 years experience in the oil and gas , petrochemical or power projects 
- Minimum 7 years experience in the execution of the oil and gas , petrochemical or power projects mechanical systems and equipment, such as stationary equipment, rotating equipments vendor packages, fired heaters, piping .....etc.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office and Microsoft project softwares
- Fluent in English speaking and writing. - Past experience in working with major clients 
- Past experience in working with engineering company

This will include preparation of proposals and execution (management, detail engineering, procurement construction, pre-commissioning and handover) to achieve timely completion, cost within budget and projects mechanical and process specified performances.

This position plays the key role for the development of the lump sum turnkey work and its contribution to AYTBs (hereinafter called Company) business, through the successful bidding and execution of these contracts. The projects leader will report to the Projects Manager and will be supported by the engineering, project control, procurement and construction staff.

In the performance of this responsibility the PL will be supported by Proposal team

Work standards and Performance

In the performance of this responsibility, the Project Leader will follow the set Company procedures and set authority levels

- The performance of the PL on this area will be evaluated based on correct and accurate pricing and number of LS EPC contracts secured

Responsibility 2

Managing and coordinating the execution of the LS EPC contracts.

In the performance of this responsibility the PL will be supported by Project Management Team

Work standards and Performance

In the performance of this responsibility, the Project Leader will follow the Company procedures and set authority levels

The performance of the PL on this area will be evaluated based on achievements of each project KPIs on performance of facilities, cost, schedule and safety

- Minimum 15 years experience in the oil and gas , petrochemical or power projects
