Senior IT Manager for Malaysia

Designation: Sr. Manager IT

Location: Malaysia

Experience: 12 -15 years with minimum 10 years in IT 

Reporting Structure 

This position reports administratively to the Unit Head (Malaysia) and functionally to Vice President IT in the corporate office (Gurgaon)

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead IT team at the Unit in Malaysia for their diverse operations
• To ensure uptime of IT Infrastructure, local applications, continuous improvement and ensuring IT projects are completed on time and under budget guidelines
• Ensure high availability and uptime of IT Infrastructure and local applications including hardware, network, antivirus, firewall etc. at all times
• Implement and support BCP & DRP
• Share and implement best practices related to IT at the organisation
• Manage all local IT projects and applications and support them
• Contract Management of IT Vendors
• IT Infrastructure procurement, upkeep and resource optimization
• Support existing and future applications
• IT Management, Security, Risk & Governance

Qualification

• B.E. (Preferably Computers)
• ITIL Certification is desirable
• PMP is desirable

Experience

• Need to have around 12 - 15 years experience with minimum 10 years in IT
• Should have handled IT Infrastructure & Application Lead role for at least 3 years
• Knowledge in Oracle Application (any module preferably OPM), Asset Management
• Experience in Manufacturing Unit is must.
• Experience in team management
• Project Management experience

Competencies

• Strong people skills - able to mediate conflicts - recognize options - propose & implement solutions
• Deep knowledge of IT-infrastructure components, function and hierarchy
• Need to have knowledge on core switches, connectivity, IT security (Gateway & Client both), Servers, Storage (SAN, NAS, tape libraries), Routers, DB etc.
• Solid documentation, communication, training skills
• Knowledge of Windows, AIX, Intel, Solaris, OEL Platforms
