Job Location: Oman- Muscat.

Experience: Minimum 3-8 Years of experience.

Qualification: B.Tech/ M.Tech / MCA/ M.Sc. / B.Sc.

JOB TITLE.

IT - IBM Power Systems (AS/400) & SAN System Administrator

The Job: 

The job requires the administration, implementation/support of IBM Power Systems with OS/400 and SAN infrastructure involving highly available virtualized environment with Disaster Recovery setup using Metro Mirroring. Operating System upgrades, system software upgrade, PTF installation, data security, performance tuning, DB2/400 database administration, backup & recovery, data mirroring will be integral part of the job.

Desired Skill Set: 
Must have hands-on experience in IBM Power Systems and SAN infrastructure Administration. 
ASP/iASP Management & configuration.
Experience in systems upgrades and Administration of OS/400 System Partitions (LPARS) on IBM Power 7/8 platform under ASP and iASP environments.
Exposure to deployment and administration of Storage Area Network using Tools, e.g. Disk Magic, TPC/VSC for
o IBM DS8700/DS8100 series, V9000 Flash system on OS/400 platforms
o IBM Storage Virtual Controllers (SVC), V5000 and V7000 storage systems
Exposure to : 
o IBM PowerHA, VIOS, Mimix on Power 7/8 system platform
o IBMs Enhanced Remote Mirroring (ERM) on Windows platform
Backup & Recovery using native OS/400 Backup, Enterprise tools e.g. BRMS & Flash Copy
Self-motivated, strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and oral communication skills.
