Job Description:

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), wholly owned by the Government of Bahrain, is engaged in the oil industry including exploration and prospecting for oil, drilling, production, refining, distribution of petroleum products and natural gas, sales and exports of crude oil and refined products. The company owns and operates a 250,000 barrels-a-day refinery, storage facilities for more than 14 million barrels, a marketing terminal and a marine terminal for its petroleum products. 

Job Title: Technical Instructor - IT 

Job Location: Bahrain 
Job Type: Permanent 
Education: B.Tech/B.E. 

Description: 
At least 5-10 years of experience 

1. To identify training needs, development programmes and content, and conduct IT training programs, processes and activities to ensure that end-users of generic and Bapco-specific applications have necessary IT skills and understanding of business processes to enable optimized use of IT systems. 
2. Such activities apply to installed systems and the training phase of IT projects. Identifies training needs on the basis of analysis of system functionality, associated business processes and Bapco needs and user capability. 
3. Developing and delivering a wide range of training events and programmes to support IT projects and generic applications to ensure that employees have skills and ability to maximize use of these applications in the business context. 
4. Must effectively manage classroom environment at group and individual level to ensure that all participants at varying skill levels derive maximum benefit from training. 
5. Provides guidance and advice as internal consultant to line departments on effective training in and use of installed IT packages to ensure that training is appropriate to user needs, package functionality and business process. 
6. Provides on the job support and guidance for users of installed IT packages to enable users to optimize their use of such packages. 
7. Produces clear, accurate and meaningful training and management reports to enable an accurate evaluation of training to be developed. 
8. Ensures facilities, including hardware and software, are maintained to a consistently professional standard, to ensure that training is not negatively impacted by hardware/software problems, and that a positive perception of this training is obtained.
