Network Support Engineer for Tanzania (2 Years Experience)

    This role has a combination of both In-house and Onsite related activities depending on the nature and requirement projects assigned.

    Network Operations and Monitoring - This consists of Core, Backbone and Last Mile/Access Networks.

    Provide support to customers.

    Oversee installs, maintenance and upgrades at NOC and Nodes.

    Provision systems, routers, subscriber units, base stations, back-hauls and other gear.

    Co-ordinate with field teams during various onsite technical activities.

    Network expansion projects.

    Training technical teams on best practices and empower with technical know-how to reduce dependence and improve efficiency. 
      Candidate should have minimum 2 years relevant experience in Network Support Engineering (ISP).

      Deep understanding in ISP Grade Networks, OSI Layer Concepts, Working Knowledge in Router and Switch Configurations for various brands both static and dynamic, firewall and security best practices, Indoor and Outdoor Wireless Technologies such as WiFi, WiMAX and similar for point to point, point to multi point and mesh topologies. Fiber Optics. ISP scale L2 and L3 PoP deployments.

      Plus points for working knowledge in Linux, deploying various servers, Security, voice over ip, bandwidth management and more. 

      Meets as many certifications as possible with core focus on ISP network and technical operations. e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MCNA, A+, N+, MCP, MTCNA, MTCRE, MTCINE, Juniper, Linux, Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora.

      Ready to relocate to Tanzania.
