Quality Inspector


Role & responsibilities

A Quality Inspector in a potato french fries factory within the food manufacturing sector is responsible for ensuring that the products meet specific quality, safety, and consistency standards throughout the production process. Here are key aspects of this role:


Responsibilities::-

  1. Raw Material Inspection: Inspect incoming batches of potatoes to confirm quality, size, and freshness. Identify any defects, such as bruising or mold, that could affect the final product.

2. Process Monitoring: Monitor the various stages of production, from washing, peeling, and cutting to frying, freezing, and packaging. Ensure that each stage adheres to specific quality and safety standards.


3. Quality Control Tests:

    • Color and Texture: Inspect fries for consistent color and texture to meet product specifications.
    • Size Consistency: Measure and confirm uniformity in length and thickness, essential for cooking time and product presentation.
    • Temperature Checks: Verify that all processes, especially frying and freezing, meet the required temperatures for quality and safety.
    • Oil Quality: Test and monitor the quality of frying oil, which can significantly impact taste, health, and product shelf life.

4. Food Safety Compliance: Ensure that all products meet food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, USDA, or local regulations). Perform regular checks for foreign objects, bacteria, or any contaminants.


5. Record-Keeping and Reporting: Document inspection results, non-compliance, and corrective actions. Maintain a record of test data, equipment calibration, and daily inspections for regulatory compliance and auditing.


6. Collaborative Troubleshooting: Work closely with production teams to identify and address issues in real-time, adjusting equipment or processes to maintain quality.


7. Packaging and Labeling Inspection: Ensure that packages are sealed correctly, properly labeled with expiration dates, nutritional information, and any other regulatory requirements.


8. Sensory Evaluation: Conduct taste, aroma, and appearance tests to ensure products meet the desired quality standards.


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Attention to Detail: High focus on small details to identify defects or non-conformance in products.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards: Familiarity with food manufacturing regulations, like HACCP, GMP, and other local regulations.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team at our potato french fries manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control tests and analyses to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control Testing:

  • Perform routine laboratory tests on raw potatoes and finished products, including moisture content, starch levels, and fryability.
  • Analyze samples for contaminants and adherence to food safety standards.

2. Data Analysis:

  • Record and interpret test results, and maintain accurate lab records.
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to the Quality Control Manager.

3. Equipment Maintenance:

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.

4. Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in internal audits and inspections.
