Deputy Human Resource Business Partner for Sterling Oil Exploration, Nigeria

Experience: 10-15 Yrs

Industry: Power /Oil & Gas/Fertilizer /Petchem [Preference Power] should be exposure in Green
field project.


Qualification: MBA /MSW


Location: Lagos-Initially- later moved to Site/plant


Key Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational needs and align HR
initiatives with business goals.
• Support the development and execution of HR strategies that drive performance,
retention, and employee engagement.
• Assist in talent acquisition processes, ensuring the right talent is sourced and hired to
meet operational demands.
• Implement succession planning and career development programs to nurture and
retain high-potential employees.
• Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution and
promoting a positive work environment.
• Foster open communication between employees and management, ensuring
alignment on organizational policies and procedures.
• Support the design and implementation of performance appraisal systems that align
with business objectives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management best
practices.


• Identify training needs and facilitate learning and development programs to enhance
employee skills and capabilities.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
• Analyze and benchmark compensation and benefits packages to ensure
competitiveness within the industry.
• Support the administration of employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with
legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that
comply with labor laws and industry standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within HR practices.
• Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
• Prepare reports on HR initiatives, workforce analytics, and organizational effectiveness.
• Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and employee
buy-in.
• Provide guidance on managing employee impacts during times of change.
• Work closely with other HR functions (recruitment, learning and development,
compensation) to ensure a cohesive approach to HR services.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to promote HRs role in driving
business success.

*Skills and Qualifications:


- Proven experience in HR management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
