QC Inspector for Morocco

Position: Electrical and Instrumentation QC Inspector 


Job Summary:

The Electrical, Instrumentation, and QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical and instrumentation installations in Fertilizer and Oil & Gas projects. The inspector will perform inspections, testing, and quality assurance processes, collaborating with engineering teams and contractors to meet industry standards and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Inspection Duties:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, ISA).
    • Review and approve inspection test plans (ITPs) and witness tests for instrumentation and electrical systems.
  2. Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and protocols related to electrical and instrumentation works.
    • Monitor and document the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure they meet defined standards.
  3. Testing:
    • Perform functional testing, loop checks, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
    • Develop and execute testing protocols in collaboration with project teams and contractors.
  4. Documentation:
    • Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and required documentation to track activities and findings.
    • Ensure that all quality records are accurate, complete, and stored according to project requirements.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and facilitate a high standard of work.
    • Participate in project meetings to discuss inspection findings, progress, and recommend improvements.
  6. Compliance:
    • Ensure that all electrical and instrumentation work complies with safety sta
    • ndards and regulations, including HSE policies.
    • Provide guidance on relevant safety practices during inspections and tests.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quality control inspection for electrical and instrumentation systems, preferably within the Fertilizer or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, CWI) are preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation codes, standards, and inspection techniques. Familiarity with project management practices is a plus.
  • Tools and Equipment: Experience using electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, loop calibrators).
