Assistant Safety Officer for Qatar

We have an urgent opening for the post of Assistant Safety Officer in Doha, Qatar.

Salary Package : As per Company Norms.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Implementation of Organizations H SE MS and/or other environmental and sustainability
• standards, guidelines, action plans, national and international legislations and best practices adopted by the Environmental & Sustainability Section.
• Support and do Plants & Utilities Rooms Inspection including sites visits and reporting.
• Conduct Drinking Water Quality Inspection and do the test and record the readings and prepare reports and do follow up monitoring.
• Support in inspect and audit Contractors & Construction sites by performing in monthly/daily base. Participate in Recreation & Sports Facilities Inspection activities and provide reports and follow up.
• Conduct Cafeterias & Kitchens Safety Inspection covering all kind of mandatory food safety
• requirements for all kitchens, cafeterias or outlets distributed among University facilities
  Participate and perform Laboratories Safety Inspections as per scheduled plan and provide initial reports and do regular follow up for observations close out.

• Perform quarterly Chemical & Biohazard S pill Kits Inspections and provide reports and follow up.
  Conduct Compressed Gas Cylinders I n s p e c t i o n s as per the assigned schedule and provide reports.
  Perform First Aid Kits Inspection as per the assigned schedule an d provide reports and follow up.
  Conduct Warehouses Safety Inspection as per schedule and provide reports.
  Perform Students Housing Inspections including all sleeping rooms and public facilities and provide reports and follow up.
  Do support in General Building Safety Inspection as per the assigned schedule and provide reports.
• Conduct annual Classrooms Inspections and provide initial reports and follow of observations close out.
  Conduct annual Offices Inspection and provide initial reports and follow of observations close out.
  
• Support in conducting o f Health and Welfare Inspection and provide initial reports and follow up.
  Receive, Review PTW request documents/information and Register.
  Conduct pre-site visit, provide onsite required instructions & issue PTW.
• Participate in all kind of Emergency Evacuation D r i l l s including pre site visit and reporting. Respond to all types of Incidents/Near Miss/Hazards & participate in emergency management. Take indoor air quality/Lights/noise levels readings and measurements and prepare reports. Support in performing of Risk assessments including and not limited to (Facilities I activities event /space change assessment), and provide initial reports and maintain of records keeping. Participate in delivery of Training and awareness a s required including support in (arrange/conduct of inductions I training).
• Support in Internal & External Audits management activities as required.

Qualification & Experience:

College graduate in Safety, Engineering, Chemistr y, Biology, Environment or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in Health and Safety.
NEBOSH or IGC Certificates / Diploma.
Basic Safety officer training certificate from accredited institute.
Computer MS Office software user's knowledge and experience.
Advanced First Aid Basic Safety Officer Training Certificates.
Internal audit training from accredited institution.
ISO 45001 or OSAS 18001 training from accredited institution.
