Lead Fire Fighter

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responds to the fire alarms and leads fire extinguishing/firefight operations.
• Participates in firefighting systems/ equipment inspections activities.
• Participates in implementation of fire alarm system simulation/testing programs.
• Commands and controls firefighting team during live emergency cases.
• Participates in and supervise the patrolling safety inspection activities for all
• organization's campus indoor and outdoor facilities and prepare related initial reports.
• Participates in the rescue activities in case of major accidents.
  Participates and support in the safety training delivery activities and awareness sessions. Supports in the fire evacuation drills planning, implementation and prepare initial reports.
• Responsible for the inspection/maintenance of fire team PPEs and equipment.
• Responsible for the follow up of fire extinguishers replacement /refilling and ordering.
• May respond to emergency calls for specialized services such as hazardous materials,
• confined spaces rescue, ceiling fall, trench and collapse rescues.
• Participates in developing and reviewing firefighting team standard operating procedures.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports related to the team periodical activities.
• Provides technical expertise and advice as needed.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures established by Organization's HSEMS.
• Coordinates the team shift, attendance and rotation schedule.
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of all assigned fire team members according to
• the Organization's guidelines.

Qualification & Experience:

• Hold at least three to five years Degree/Diploma related to fire, safety from accredited institution.
• Minimum of (7) years' experience in firefighting at least (3) years as lead firefighter.
• Had been serving at least (3) years in a fire department institution or its equivalent. Accredited training in Firefighting, First Aid, Rescue and Evacuation.
• Able to plan, Organize, conduct, report/debrief, and lead firefighting team daily patrolling.
• Have ample knowledge in Local & international fire safety standards and Regulations
• (QCDD, OSHA, NFPA ... etc.).
• Knowledge of Basic principles, methods and techniques of fire suppression and
• prevention, basic methods, techniques and practices for hazardous materials mitigation
• Ability to Read and understand technical materials related to fire science; understand and
• follow oral and written instructions;
• Preferred NEBOSH Fire safety and risk management certificate.
• Must have valid Driving License.

• Computer MS Office software user's knowledge and experience.

Fire Fighter

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Responds to a wide variety of emergency alarms, gas leaks, medical emergencies and
• hazardous material spills.
• Fights fires under section procedures; connects and lays hose lines, sets ladder and
• operates firefighting facilities/equipment.
• Performs salvage, clean up and overhaul operations during and after fires to remove
• hazards and protect property.
• Provides first responder medical emergency response at the basic life support level, including initial patient and situation assessment.
• Participates in specialized rescue operations, including aerial and underground
• situations involving the use of rigging and shoring; operates specialized hand and
• power tools and equipment to rescue traffic accident victims.
• Participates in drills, demonstrations and induction of firefighting techniques, equipment and apparatus operation, medical aid, heavy rescue, hazardous materials,
• fire prevention.
• Participates in various support assignments, including but not limited to the
• maintenance of inventory records, scheduled inspections, hydrant inspections and
• maintenance and fire alarm and firefight systems testing and simulation.
• Perform Emergency Exits Doors Inspection and prepare initial reports and necessary follow up.
• Do Passenger Lifts Inspection and provide initial reports and do corrective action follow up.
• Fire Fight/Alarm Systems Inspection.
• Participate in pre -- Drills Inspections and orientation and follow up corrective action.
• Do the required emergency rapid intervention e.g. put fire, spill, rescue etc.
• Patrolling at Organization's Premises (Indoor/Outdoor) as per assigned schedule and
• provide initial reports and do corrective action follow up.
• Do other on demand reports and site visits as required by safety section or lead firefighters

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum High school, diploma or equivalent from accredited institute
• Must have completed basic course on elementary Fire Fighting from a recognized Institute
• (The duration of the basic Fire Fighting course will not be less than 6 months.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in firefighting at least 3 years serving in a fire department
• institution or its equivalent.
• Accredited training in Firefighting, First Aid, Rescue and Evacuation.
• Knowledge of Basic principles, office suppression/clean agent's systems.
• Must have valid Driving License.

Skills and Requirement:

• Very good physical and mental fitness level allows actively participate in emergency
• response activities and live fire drills.
• Well trained and good knowledge of using firefights PPEs and rescue equipment.
• Effective communication skills;
• The ability to operate and use of Basic mandatory firefight tools and equipment.
• Computer MS Office software user's knowledge and experience.
