The Senior Media Applications Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and implementing media solution and services based on business needs and standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete or components of Media Application
• Develop solutions as per agreed acceptance criteria and take it through various phases of requirement gathering, analysis, design, architecture, documentation, prototyping, development, testing, QA, data migrations, hosting and postproduction support scenarios
• Execute administrative tasks for solutions and services including application and database configurations, preparing maintenance plans, data replications and synchronization, monitoring etc.
• Execute and evaluate performance tests on new and existing technical solutions for the purposes of identifying and correcting pain points and defining areas for improvement.
• Prepare technical documents like Design Documents, System Requirement Specifications, Architecture Diagrams, Flowcharts, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Use Cases, and user manuals.
• Design screens and UIs and integrate into the system as per the requirements
• Follow various standards, guidelines and best practices of SDLC, release management, change management, incident management, service management and delivery processes.
• Provide first level application support.
• Contribute in preparing detailed Scope of works, RFPs and evaluation criteria for technical proposals
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor or higher in IT, Computer Science or related field
• Experience: 5+ Years of experience in IT Domain & 2+ Years of hands-on development and Solutions Architecture
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Multiscreen technologies and solutions
• Application Programming Interface ( API ) technologies and solutions
• Broadcast content production and editing solutions
• Functional Knowledge (Preferred) : ServiceNow, SAP, Avid iNews, Net Insight SchedulAll, Arvato VPMS and Avid Interplay Solutions
• Methodologies: Agile & Scrum
• Distributed hosting, Content Delivery Networks, Caching, High Availability
• Enterprise software solution architecture skills
• Application security and performance
• MSF, Sprints and other Agile methodologies
• User experience approaches, standards, and best practices
• Solid experience and knowledge of configuration, tuning and monitoring of common web infrastructure software components such as IIS, .NET, Apache, Tomcat, PHP etc.
• Solid knowledge of network technology and web related protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS etc.) in LAN and WAN environments
• SQL database design, development, normalization and administration
• Object oriented languages like but not limited to (C#, VB.NET, PHP, Java, C++ etc.)
• Web development; specialized in a wide range of client and server side scripting technologies like ASP.NET, PHP, MVC, AJAX, JavaScript, VB Script, HTML, Jscript, HTML5, etc.
• Web Services (Restful, WSDL, SOAP, RSS, XML)
• Source Code Management products / packages
