Footwear Designer for Kenya

 Company Details:

Co. to be based in Kenya' East Africa manufacturing a variety of slippers and shoes of the full range with a different pattern, materials, colors, and range.

Candidate Requirements:

Education Qualification:

Degree / Diploma from Footwear design & Development Institute (FDDI) / Central Footwear training institute (CFTI) / Government Leather Institute (GLI).

Experience: The candidate should have 8+ years of work experience in the footwear industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The candidate having good knowledge of Formal shoes, Casual shoes, School Shoes, and safety shoes.
• The candidate is responsible for making samples starting from rough design drawings.
• The candidate is responsible for quality checks and overseeing production
• Candidates have to provide technical education to employees to increase the aesthetics of designs.
• Candidates have to manage all communication regarding design specification and compliance to same in manufacturing unit.
• Candidate have good knowledge of coming up with new colors, forms, and structures of different footwear
• The candidate has to ensure the designs prepared by him are profitable and make a name in the fashion and retail industry
• The candidate has overseen his interactions with the clients, observing the growth procedures and methods of different footwear designs and approving the enhancement and productivity of the same
• The candidate should have artistic skills like drawing, an eye for color, and knowledge of textures and fabrics. Skill with computer-aided design (CAD) programs is increasingly important.
