Singapore's largest test-prep and admissions consulting service Founded in 2006, Prep Zone has rapidly become Singapore's largest and most acclaimed test-prep company. Apart from teaching all major standardised tests, it also creates and conducts admissions tests for prestigious international institutions, such as INSEAD, Indian School of Business (ISB), Kedge Business School, and the European School of Management and Technology. Staffed by graduates of the world's leading universities, Prep Zone has a unique teaching methodology that is utilised by thousands of students every year. The company has offices in Singapore, Mumbai, and Shanghai, and was recently featured in BBC World News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and the Financial Times.

SUMMARYWe are looking for seasoned Math trainers who will be able to teach GMAT / GRE / SAT / standardised test math topics to a diverse international audience. We require:
- Excellent knowledge of math fundamentals (beyond what a standardised test like the GMAT requires)
- A very diluted accent (strong Indian accents are not feasible, given our audience)
- Strong teaching experience
- Reasonably good command of vocabulary

JOB CONTEXT / WORKING CONDITIONSThis role is based in the Prep Zone headquarters in Singapore, a cosmopolitan city known for its political, economic, and social stability. Singapore is a short flight away from a dozen Southeast Asian countries (5 hours away from India), and its unique location and stability make it Asia's most comfortable and prosperous nation.

The company maintains a very friendly startup environment; any sort of aggression at work is unacceptable. The office is staffed by extremely bright graduates from universities across the world. Candidates should address everyone by first names -- no "sir" or "madam" -- and feel free to approach anyone for assistance. On-the-job training and assistance will always be available as required. The office operates 7 days a week, 20 hours a day, and classes will sometimes fall outside "regular" office hours. This is not a 9-to-5 job.

JOB ROLES- Break down complex standardised test concepts into simple parts and rules
- Communicate with clarity and precision, engaging students regularly and easily
- Cater to a wide variety of student profiles
- Answer conceptual questions without any notice / preparation time

A Math Trainer teaches students concepts and strategies for the math components of various standardised tests. Students are between 15 and 45 years old, depending on the university programme to which they aspire. Students are taught in an in-person / face-to-face setting at our offices in Singapore. Classes typically last 2 to 4 hours, on both weekdays and weekends. Prep Zone is a rapidly-moving company and well-performing candidates can expect to be involved with other aspects of the business (sales, marketing, content development, operations, etc.) in 6 to 8 months.

CANDIDATE PROFILECandidates should be bright, enthusiastic, and academically-inclined. Public-speaking skills and a calm demeanour are essential. Formal teaching experience, and strong performance in a degree programme at a reputable university, are preferred. Additionally, candidates should be able to mentor students, helping them assess a suitable timeline and target score for their test. Some of our students are academically very strong, so a good performance (at least 90th percentile) in the math component of a standardised test (e.g. GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, CAT, etc.) is preferable.
