Position : Import Manager
Experience : Minimum 5 Years
Location : Antananarivo / Madagascar
Salary : Saving Salary in USD + food + Bachelor accommodation + visa and flight will be provided by the company.
Language: French (most preferable)
Qualification: - Bachelor in Commerce
Working hours: Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 7pm.
Contract time line: 3 years contract salary revision after completion of 2 years.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor the status of import shipments after leaving the port of origin.
- Dynamic updates and MIS reports on daily import arrival status.
- Monitor the movement of containers after customs clearance at the port of entry.
- Follow up with CHA for clearance and trans shipment of import containers.
- Act as the SPOC for multiple CHAs and import carriers to ensure move meant of all import containers as per the envisaged plan.
- Documentation for all import management activities.
- Liaison with customs clearance activities.
- Manage the supplier and customer relations for the product lines handled.
- Regular follow-up for orders, receivables and payments with all the customers.
- Regular market analysis to assess the demand, prices for specific products.
- Regularly meeting the key customers and suppliers frequent travel to assign territories for effective customer management
