- Strong database administration skills in UNIX, AIX, Linux Environments with Performance Tuning Capabilities
- Experience with SQL coding and tuning
- Strong Skills around modelling/development of data, database specifications, table and element attributes for an application
- Perform advanced monitoring using DB2 Administrative Views and routines in SQL queries
- Capable of performing intermediate to advanced tasks related to DB2 database operation and recovery, performance and high availability.
- Experienced in backups & disaster recovery
- Perform database administration tasks for a DB2 Database Server, including using DB2 commands like BACKUP and RESTORE
- Prefers an IBM Certified Database Administrator
