Roles and Responsibilities

  • Attends regular toolbox meeting, understand and follow all instructions and work procedures.
  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
  • Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
  • Work with facility manager to continually update the production process and system software.
  • Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
  • Assess the condition of used parts using micrometres, callipers and specifications.
  • Maintain parts and tools inventory.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
  • Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
  • Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
  • Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
  • Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
  • Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
  • Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations
  • Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during document review
  • Comply with INTECH health and safety policies and general site safety rules and to report any injury, near miss or potentially unsafe condition / hazard or any other occurrence which may cause injury to personnel damage to equipment or affect the local environment using the correct reporting lines.
  • Support and comply with Quality, HSE, Company Policies and ISO management system documentations and implementations

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Mechanical / Electrical technology vocational course graduate/certification.
  • Adequate experience in the relevant field with any of the following industry (Oil - Gas / petrochemical, Power & Energy.
  • Average in English (read, write and speak). Arabic is additional advantage.
