Roles and Responsibilities
- To provide support for all computer and printer hardware, CCTV and all applications used by Norvik Group as well as configuration, upgrades and maintenance of these.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of server systems (Linux and Microsoft), LAN and WAN solutions
- To implement and enforce internal computer systems security.
- To administer Domain controller, Active directory, Firewalls and routers.
- To implement and maintain up-to-date backups for server and all applications
- To test and implement software patches for all applications, including third party applications
- To build, implement, periodically test and review disaster recovery plans for all ICT systems and infrastructure
- Advise the procurement of Software, Hardware and other ICT accessories.
- To maintain comprehensive and updated documentation of all ICT systems and infrastructure in use by the Group
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
- Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
- Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
- Create and verify backups of data
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests
- Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
- Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
- Review application logs, update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Perform any other functions as may from time to time be assigned by the supervisor
Desired Candidate Profile
- Academic qualifications: Bachelors degree or, Science Computing or any other related field. Diploma in Information Technology
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience in the same field.
- Strong and practical knowledge about CCTV management, Firewalls, Software, Hardware and Networking Protocols
- Candidate should have good communication skills both verbal and written.
