- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with around 10 to 15 years experience in maintaining Refrigeration systems including Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance.
- Good exposure to Caterpillar engine and refrigeration system maintenance is must.
- Experience in fishing Industry , to have created systems, controls, and implement the same for smooth operations.
- Refrigeration systems to maintain include : plate freezers, blast freezers, Cold rooms and air conditions.
- Maintenance of fire pumps/ fire hydrants and water treatment plants.
- All electrical maintenance of vessels and shore facility.
- To plan for the vessel maintenance schedule and strictly implement it and manage the maintenance schedule/operations for reducing breakdown/ breakdown time & enhancing operational efficiency of the vessels & equipments.
- Monitoring the AGO/Fuel receiving, issues and consumption of vessels and at shore facility ( this is one of the most critical area in companys operation)
- Planning and monitoring Dry Docking schedule of vessels
- Planning & monitoring main engine overhauling of vessels
- General repair & maintenance of companys infrastructures & equipments at various locations.
- Maintaining inventory of critical spares and projection and ordering of spares.
- Manning of 200 odd engineers/technical staff and take disciplinary actions whenever there is a problem.
- Planning & forecast of maintenance schedules & estimated expenditure well in advance and monitoring the actual performance v/s forecast on Monthly basis and analyzing the reason of variance and action to be taken for improving the performance.
- To take part in HACCP & ISO activities.
- To regularly update Chief Technical Officer on daily, weekly and monthly activities.
- Prior Africa experience is required.
