Manager - Maintenance and Automation


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Professional & disciplinary leadership of the maintenance and automation teams
  • Responsibility for the total productive maintenance (TPM) and optimization of production and manufacturing facilities, their infrastructure and the associated documentation
  • Management and execution of maintenance and repair projects in the field of building services
  • Creation of concepts and feasibility studies for serial production automation solutions
  • Responsible for the realization of new automation projects from concept to serial production readiness
  • Troubleshooting and optimization of existing production line automation and PLC program
  • Failure root cause analysis in complex production lines and independent derivation of permanent corrective measures
  • Responsibility for the planning, modification and implementation of processes and procedures in the field of automation technology and general maintenance
  • Continuous improvement of the department's processes and procedures in compliance with IATF16949


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering / qualified technician or master craftsmen, ideally in the field of mechatronics or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in projects and maintenance of automations, CNC machinery and PLC programming
  • Profound knowledge of Siemens Simatic S7, TIA Portal and E-Plan
  • Excellent in PLC, HMI and VFD programming
  • Sound experience with robot controllers Yaskawa, Motoman, Kuka
  • Knowledge with Cognex Explorer and vision systems will be an added advantage
  • High quality awareness, reliability, independent working method
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Fluent in business English (spoken and written)
  • High affinity towards digitalization
  • Sound computer literacy

Roles and Responsibilities


- Plans and controls the current and future manufacturing jobs in terms of time, cost and quality

- Defines manufacturing process for each individual parts with target to optimize time, cost, quality and ensures delivery timelines to customers

- Ensures best balanced utilization of manufacturing capacity

- Performs as an active link between in-house departments, management and local / overseas customers regarding manufacturing jobs

- Conducts capacity planning for each manufacturing section such as milling, grinding, EDM, WEDM, etc

- Analyzes bottlenecks and quality problems of manufacturing processes and proposes corrective measures

- Ensures standard material availability in stock and initiates procurement process for new requirements

- Analyzes and reports manufacturing performance in terms of efficiency achieved, rework undertaken, scrap and waste produced and delivery achievements


Desired Candidate Profile


- Completed degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, or qualified technician / master craftsman, ideally in the field of mold and/ or stamping die technology

- Solid experience in planning and controlling of tooling projects including tooling calculations

- Profound experience and technical knowledge in CNC manufacturing environment such as 3 and 5-Axis Milling, Grinding, Optical Grinding, WEDM and EDM

- High quality awareness, very good process and method competence

- Excellent understanding of 2D and 3D mechanical drawings

- CAD/CAM (preferably Siemens NX) expertise and user knowledge of MS Office

- Excellent communication skills in English
