The incumbent is responsible to the Permanent Secretary for Health through the Deputy Secretary.
Hospital Services for the overall management and operations of the Fiji Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Services Centre of the Ministry of Health. Oversee the operation of the Pharmaceutical Services in Fiji under the Medicinal Products Decree. Oversee the conduct the Pharmacy Profession under the Pharmacy Profession Decree. Provide professional advice to the Permanent Secretary in the formulation and for amendment of national policies and plans in regards to Pharmaceutical Services.
Effectively manage and Monitor procurement processes, storage and distribution of medicines, medical supplies, biomedical equipment, consumables and vaccines in all Health facilities. Ensure quality of pharmaceutical services in health institutions are maintained in accordance with existing policy and standard procedures and regulations and decrees. Provide technical and professional support to pharmacy services and staff at divisional health services level. Collaborate with all Clinical Services
Networks on the Pharmaceutical requirements and needs of their Services.
Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Permanent Secretary for Health.

Special Requirements:
Must have at least 3 years Principal Pharmacist/ management experience. More than 10 years in Pharmaceutics
