ABOUT CLIENT :
An exciting opportunity with an established leading Middle East based National Oil Company, that functions throughout onshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters with a number of productive oil fields.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE :
Directs and controls the issuing/monitoring of the annual Material Acquisition Plan and sets purchasing strategies.
Ensures that appropriate processes and systems are developed and maintained so that all material management activities meet the technical, commercial and ethical requirements of the company.
Participates, as focal point, in OPCOs material management forums and committees for sharing data and relevant information.
Plans and supervises inventory control activities, to ensure that stock items are shown at economic levels consistent with operational objectives. Manages and controls the minimum stock retained in suppliers premises as per the provisions of signed price agreements.
Manages the periodical follow up with Users for the update of the material acquisition forecast to avoid any shortfall in material availability.
REMUNERATION:
An attractive remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidates and will be in line with a competitive industry standard.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years experience in material management, inventory management, procurement and material specification & coding preferably in the Oil/Gas or Petroleum industry.
6 years in a supervisory capacity.
