Job Purpose & Scope:
Train, Coach and support the development of Clients UAE Nationals based on their development programs so that they attain the site specific knowledge and skills required to perform as per the company standards.
For operators / technician and Sr. Operator / Sr. Technicians: Design and Continuously develop the Competency Assurance System Development Program(CAS-DP) for each site specific section/ department requirements.
For UAE graduates / Engineers: Continuously developing the existing Competency Assurance Management System Development Frame Work (CAMS-DFW) by incorporating the site specific real works / tasks for each site specific section/ department requirements
Assess the competence of candidates against the established standards.(CLIENTS & SVQ).
Design, prepare, and continuously develop the required site specific training materials.
Provide necessary recommendations to ensure that the training activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Prepare relevant Training schedules based on the actual needs of the trainees concerned.
2. Develop teaching material related to their respective discipline.
3. Identify and arrange the learning resources/documents that are required by the trainees.
4. Write, Develop and update training modules and prepare other training materials as per their discipline requirement.
5. Assist in implementing Competency Assurance system-Development Program (CAS-DP) for technicians, operators, Sr. Technicians, and Sr. Operators.
6. Assist in implementing Competency Assurance Management system-Development frame work (CAMS-DFW) and Personal Development Plan(PDP )for UAE Engineering graduates.
7. Contribute in implementing Personal Development Plan(PDP )for Supervisors and Engineers.
8. Liaise within MD and with various teams for preparation, review and implementation of the competency based development programs/personal development plans for UAE Nationals.
9. Conduct classroom training using various audio-visual aids, e-Learning , to ensure that candidates acquire the required site specific knowledge.
10. Conduct On Job Training / Coaching sessions in the plant and in the workshop in coordination with the line Supervisors / Engineers to ensure that the candidates achieve the competencies necessary to perform various tasks safely, efficiently and effectively as per the company standards.
11. Guide UAE Nationals in using the Computer Based Training (CBT) courses on Clients network as well as web based online courses, and track their performance.
12. Seek periodic feedback from the trainees, line department and MD-T/L to strengthen quality of training / instructions.
13. Assess competencies of UAE nationals & Expatriates candidates against VQ standards towards obtaining internationally recognized unit awards and Vocational Qualifications. Guide and help the candidates to collect knowledge and performance evidence required for achieving the VQ. Organize the evidence for Internal and External Verification.
14. Coordinate and arrange with HSE Department for Safety training of newly recruited UAE Nationals.
15. Monitor the progress of UAE Nationals at different stages of their development plans.
16. Participate in Panel Assessment exercise and follows up on recommended actions.
17. Assist in preparation of Training budget.
18. Apply other job related training issues assigned from time to time by MD Team Leaders or Site Manager.
Qualification & Experience:
Engineering Graduate (Bachelors degree) or equivalent qualifications with at least 15 years of related process & production or maintenance experience preferably in oil/gas industry , and at least 3 years of training experience.
Strong communication and technical skills.
Good knowledge of competency based programs and NVQs.
Knowledge in ISO policies relevant in Oil & Gas, and Chemical Industries.
Fluent in verbal and written English language.
Excellent presentation / interpersonal skills.
Highly computer literate.
Strong leadership qualities
