Database Administrator for iGene Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia

Experience: 3 to 7 yrs.

•  Need to take ownership of the designing databases on MYSQL.

• Standardization of MYSQL database environments.

• Develop and administer processes for performance tuning of databases.

• Develop and administer processes for capacity planning.

• Provide proactive performance monitoring of databases ensuring service levels are met.

• Administrate change control of physical data structure for all environments.

• Develop and administer backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures for databases.

• Create physical data structures from either vendor supplied data base design or custom data base design for all environments.

• Provide primary and backup support to ORACLE/SQL databases.

• Required to visit the mortuary.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Keeps abreast of new developments in computing equipment; systems analysis; database design and database programming techniques through the use of all available educational sources.

• Look beyond initial design requirements to create optimal database configuration that meets the business needs.
