Job Description:
Key Responsibilities include :
- Reporting to the Managing Director & Board of Management, the General Manager will be a strategic business leader, with responsibility for maximizing performance of the operation, including guest satisfaction, Associate engagement, financial performance, sales and revenue.
- The General Manager will ensure implementation of brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations and the provision of personal services, and ensuring an efficient operation in all areas of the property. He/she will work closely with Sales and Marketing and Revenue Management teams to develop revenue generating strategies for the property.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Financial Management long/short term profitability by delivering value through strong financial management that drives revenue & profitability;
- Guest experience Ensure positive guest experiences through the implementation of brand standards and service culture and by managing customer feedback to improve service delivery;
- Leadership clearly communicate property goals and objectives to associates. Determine areas for improvement and successfully implement these changes. Manage flow of labour between departments and create an environment of engagement among Associates.
- Communication build lasting and effective relationships with all stakeholders including Owners, Management, HODs, Associates, Guests and corporate clients.
- To manage the day-to-day hotel operations, to ensure standards are set and achieved consistently in all areas:
- To operate effective control systems in the hotel
- To forecast business levels accurately & ensure staffing as required
- To operate and manage the performance management system in the hotel to company standards
