- Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
2. PRINCIPAL DUTIES
2.1 Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
2.2 Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
2.3 Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
2.4 Prepare financial management reports.
2.5 Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
2.6 Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
2.7 Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
2.8 Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
2.9 Monitor and support taxation issues
2.10 Develop and maintain financial data bases
2.11 Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
2.12 Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
2.13 Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
2.14 Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
3. EDUCATION
3.1. Essential:
Accounting degree or equivalent
4. EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
4.1. Professional Experience:
4.1.1. Essential: minimum of 3 yearssince acquisition of essential graduate qualification.
4.2. Qualifications:
4.2.1. Essential:
knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles.
knowledge of economic principles
knowledge of auditing practices and principles
knowledge of applicable laws, codes and Saudi regulations
knowledge and experience of related computer applications
At least 3 years' experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and providing financial advice
Ability to speak, read, and write Arabic and English
4.2.2 Desirable:
Certification as Accountant
