DCS Operator for Kuwait

Front Line technician entrusted with the primary task of operating instruments & panels for the successful operation of the Plant.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor the plant parameter DCS Distributed Control System/PLC

Ensure smooth operation of the plant by taking any corrective action to deal with process upset

Direct field operator for field checking or action

Deep knowledge of plant ESD and interlocks

Conduct safe start-up and shutdown

Prepare daily process plant report

Gas compression, or oil and water pump and storage operation

Safe Work Permitting system, electrical & mechanical lockout and tagging procedures

Assist in plant commissioning and start-up

Awareness and interpretation of engineering drawings (P&IDs) and international codes and standards (API, ASME, BS)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE /COMPETENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

Recognized technical school diploma in chemical, mechanical or equivalent discipline

Technical school, operating company or vendor course in (a) Safe Work Permitting; (b) Equipment lockout and tagging procedures (c) Distributer Control System

Minimum 6 years experience in oil & gas industry facility operation

Minimum 2 years Central Control Room operational experience with Distributor Control System

Experience with daily process plant report preparation

Familiar with gas compression operation or oil and water pump and storage operation

Experience with Safe Work Permitting system, electrical & mechanical lockout and tagging procedures

Familiar with Distributer Control System and control room operation

Experience in plant commissioning and start-up

Understanding of engineering drawings (P&IDs) and international codes and standards (API, ASME, BS)

Work experience includes Supervisory experience in oil & gas field plant processing

Experience in plant commissioning and start-up

Familiar with H2S operation

Operational experience with power generation equipment and systems

Familiar with KOC facility operation (desirable)

Valid driver's license

Fluent in English

Excellent writing skills

Competent in MS Office
