Designation : Mechanical Pump Technician
Minimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical
Minimum Experience: More than 5 years of professional experience, with full responsibility for major technical work in the field of pumps and mechanical seals.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Basic Function: Carries out independently Repair/ maintenance of pumps
- Minimum Experience: 5 YEARS
- well experience in alignment works of pumps
- fitment and repair of mechanical seals
- Bearing fixing / replacment
- MUST have Good Experience in Power Plant /DESALINATION/DISTILLAER /UTILITY /Oil/ Gas/
- Able to read drawings/ procedures
- Also Should have
- Working knowledge in ebara/ throshima/ flow serve/ ksb/Sulzer make brine re circulation pumps /distillate / sea water supply /lime dosing/pump
- Experience in big vertical pumps--- minimum delivery pipe size 350 mm and heavy duty pumps
- Good knowledge in measuring instruments
- Good Experience In Vibration Measurement Skills
- Check the wear ring clearances
- Rigging knowledge
Works to Perform:
1. Receives verbal work assignments from Supervisor, assesses job requirements and obtains necessary materials and tools from the stores and proceeds to worksite accordingly
2. Carries out servicing, repair and overhaul independently of large centrifugal and reciprocating pump and other process machineries.
3. Takes measurements and makes simple sketches for his jobs.
4. Carries out simple rigging work.
5. Checks alignment, clearances and other measurements.
6. Reads simple drawings and other technical documents.
7. Maintains simple records.
8. Keeps work site clean and tidy.
9. Adheres to safe working procedure.
10. Performs other duties as instructed by his supervisors.
11. Checks fitting work carried out by contracted personnel to ensure conformity to operational standards. Participates in the making of hydrostatic test to check for leaks.
12. Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned, such as cleaning up job sites, observing safety and fire rules and regulations, ensuring that tools and materials are returned to their proper places, and operating pipeline valves and accessories under instruction.
