10 years experience supply chain management and logistics in a similar steel manufacturing environment

Job Description
Plan
Identify, prioritize, and aggregate supply chain requirements
Identify, assess, and aggregate supply chain resources to balance supply chain resources with supply chain requirements
Ensure supply plan is aligned to finished product requirements to achieve service and inventory goals
Set parameters to optimize raw material and finished goods inventory and drive evaluation and disposal of Slow and Non Moving inventory
Assign responsibilities to research, plan, and execute shipping logistics that meets customer delivery requirements, mitigates delays, and is cost-effective with respect to SSC shipping budgetary targets
Design
Perform analysis of logistical services vendor competitiveness, support analysis for contract negotiation and review, tracking service performance, executing transportation modal analysis, analyzing cost, risk, and service, analyzing transportation asset utilization and optimizing distribution networks
Analyze supply chain and inventory data to determine supply chain management approach taking into consideration cost efficiency and availability of critical materials
Set workflows for each Supply Chain function based on agreed processes and procedures
Optimizing Supply Chain processes with organizational, technology, and information management capabilities to reduce costs, increase profit and enhance shareholder value - Developing Supply Chain opportunities, formulating operating models, designing IT strategies, and implementing change to drive competiveness - Transforming Supply Chain service delivery from strategy and structure to services, operating models, organizational design, process improvement, learning initiatives / systems and ERP systems implementations
Follow up & Coordinate
Follow up with supply chain managers to determine emerging issues and risks
Liaise with O&M functions to resolving issues and risks of delay to schedules and alter transportation plans to meet unforeseen conditions/events
Review and approve Supply Chain management daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
Deliver
Supervise transportation of finished goods and raw materials from global manufacturers and suppliers to ensure continuous and reliable supply
Supervise transportation of intermediate products within the power plant to ensure a smooth / efficient logistical interface across O&M functions
Supervise transportation of finished products to clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery
Put in place systems to maintain customs compliance as regulations and requirements change and make recommendations to management when appropriate
Create controls to maintain full internal documentation related to shipping, receiving, logistics and customs
Assist administration in determining the correct accounting classification of all shipping related expenses and, if applicable, initiate claims and / or refunds
Instruct employees to manage and maintain certificates from suppliers as required, SAP related product data fields, and distribute information to customs brokers as needed
Ensure consistent availability of parts and supplies on the schedules, and at the quality standard, required by other areas of the company such that they are able to meet their individual schedules
Lower transportation costs over time without reducing quality of service and reliability
