System Engineer for Crest Business Solutions SDN BHD, Malaysia (2 Years Experience)

Responsibilities: 

1. To provide support on network administration, hardware/software installation, maintenance & implementation of servers, SAN/NAS storage, LAN/WAN/VPN network infrastructure and upkeep of Data Centres. 
2. To provide Network and security related deployment and implementation projects.
3. Responsible for installation, maintenance and supports
4. Setup of all network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls & etc.)
5. Handle project in Systems integration, migration and upgrade.
6. Maintaining leadership-level knowledge in respective technology field.
7. Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
8. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
9. Troubleshooting in hardware and software and maintaining.
10. Provide set-up support, maintenance and troubleshooting for the IT infrastructure and servers in the company as well as provide local IT, LAN and WAN network support.
11. Provide support and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems to the end-users, maintaining centrally defined guidelines and rules.
12. Ensure that problems are escalated in accordance with established procedures and handles escalated projects or issues as assigned.
13. Work closely with the IT Manager to propose, define and monitor implementation of the teams plans and objectives, in line with the departmental strategy.
14. Perform IT project deployments and execution thereof.
15. Maintain positive infrastructure applications service delivery trends, correct as needed and propose refined metrics to establish continuous improvement.
16. Review, create and maintain system configuration and maintenance procedures documentation.
17. Actively monitor and resolved issue promptly.
18. Be a key point of reference in relation to technical issues for the site.

Requirements: 

1. Positive working attitude must be willing to adapt and develop oneself 
2. Able to work independently and be a good team player 
3. At least Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
4. Experience working in Linux Operating System environment
5. Experience in monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting complex networks
6. Experience in managing virtualization platforms such as XenServer will have added advantage. 
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills 
8. Ability to work well under pressure 
9. Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
10. At least 2 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position
11. Willing to travel
12. Demonstrated work experience in an IT Support/Service environment and/or a computer division.
13. Strong Technical background.
