Responsibilities;
• Assists the Head of Supervision in preparing the annual plan of supervision
• Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and inspectors in varying fields of expertise (civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural)
• Monitoring and coordinating all contractors' activities for assigned area of rail
• Developing discipline construction schedules and monitoring progress. Providing schedule and progress appraisal report to the Construction Manager
• Monitoring material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensuring that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
• Maintaining first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within their discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Supervising the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines, as well as survey personnel
• Ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures

May act as a lead person or technical expert and provide direction to less experienced personnel.
Conducts regular walk through inspections of construction areas, and investigations in accordance with legal requirements.
Has specific knowledge of specialty areas (Ipp, drinking water, homeland security, biosolids, etc.) and performs onsite audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Designs or modifies workplaces, processes, products or other systems to control or eliminate hazards. Inspects or surveys workplaces, processes, products or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards.
