• Supervising Scaffolding jobs
• Calculate materials & loads of scaffolds
• Prepare design report for different type of independent scaffolding
• Calculate wind load and any other lateral load on netted scaffold in accordance to both BS standard and ASCE
• Ability to perform member checks for the stander and ledgers in accordance with AISC ,BS & EC codes
• Ability to Design scaffolding joint connection ( semi rigid connection ) by using advanced analysis inelastic methods
• Conduct site surveys, collect and assess site information, liaise with clients and fellow construction professionals and represent the company at design and site meetings
• Provides expert technical expertise and supervision for erecting, dismantling and scaffolding construction activity
• Lays procedures and specification for scaffolding erecting, construction and dismantling. Inspection of scaffolding reactions prior to use
• Sets an inspection program for all scaffold structures to ensure that all safety requirements are met
• Prepare CAD drawings in accordance with the Companies & the Clients requirements (2D + 3D)
• Adhere to Client Health & Safety Standards
• Liaising closely with design team to get the required technical information
• Ensures that all activities are performed within the provisions of the Integrated Management System requirements
• Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices
• To adhere at all times to company policies and procedures, in particular Health and Safety and Environmental policies
• ITI, Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of Drafting , as well as Auto Cad
• Must have 3-5 years’ experience within similar role
• Practical knowledge of scaffolding and temporary works
• Literate and familiar with the use of detail Excel documents
• Must have previous experience in formwork and scaffolding design with using different types of equipment in several construction projects
• Knowledge of state of art of scaffolding design software
• Knowledge of STAAD pro will add an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Construction related industry experience, either site or office based
• Technical drawing experience with demonstrable abilities in producing construction drawings to the highest standard
• Full working knowledge and experience using Autodesk AutoCAD software package (Full, LT)
• On-site experience with scaffolding material & equipment.(3 years)
• 3D drawing and/or BIM working and development capabilities
• Construction Health & Safety awareness
• Doing specialized / standard scaffold designs & calculations for Ongoing Projects at DY Yard or any site related to its projects
