Senior Quantity Surveyors for Saudi Arabia (Salary: 50,000 AED/ Month)

SENIOR MEP QUANTITY SURVEYOR (CONSTRUCTION) - DUBAI

*Building experience - strong high rise, tower, mixed use experience

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for QS work on medium to large complex commercial, mixed use, institutional buildings and residential projects both in and around Dubai.

The key person for this role will manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Many of these are specified by statutory building regulations, which each QS will need to understand and adhere to. Ideally the right person for this role will keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability as required by Business Unit policy.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead the interim payment process to Sub Contractors and, where appropriate, Suppliers;
- Raising and authorisation of Sub Contract variation documentation including evaluation of budgets through to final agreement;
- Ensure all Sub Contract variations are pursued under the - - Main Contract where appropriate;
- Monitor all incoming Sub Contractor correspondence and draft responses for issue, particularly in respect of matters of contract;
- Assist in the drafting of correspondence under the Main Contract where necessary; provide input and all supporting information necessary for compilation of Interim Payment Applications under the Main Contract as necessary;
- Provide input and all supporting information necessary for - Contractor/JV monthly cost reporting, budget management and cost to complete forecasting;
- Provide input and all supporting information necessary for ongoing Risk and Opportunity management and reporting;
- Supervise and take responsibility for re-measurement of the relevant elements of the Works;
- Ensure maintenance of all necessary contemporaneous site records for use in evaluating time/cost implications of change;
- Assist in Sub Contract/Supplier procurement where necessary
- Integrate into existing commercial team and assist or take responsibility for other tasks relevant to the role as directed.

Requirements
- You MUST have at least 10 years in a SENIOR Quantity Surveyor role and been responsible for QS assistants, understanding there use and importance to the business.
- Preferably you will have a Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
- Single Status is preferred, but not essential
- Good English - both verbal & written is essential

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR (60+ FLOOR EXPERIENCE) - KSA

*Consultancy - KSA - GCC experience preferred
*Building experience - strong TOWER (60+ floors minimum experience)
*Western applicants will be highly regarded
*MRICS ideally please\!

- You MUST have at least 15 years in a SENIOR Quantity Surveyor role and been responsible for QS assistants, understanding there use and importance to the business.
- Strong Consultancy background in TOWER projects (the higher the better)
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar) & MRICS
- Single Status is preferred for the first 4-6 months
- Good English - both verbal & written is essential
