Restaurant General Manager for Basil Hotels, Thailand (3 Year Exp.)


    A well established Group in the Hospitality sector seeking to venture over-seas as a Franchise of a very renowned South Indian vegetarian brand is seeking to appoint RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER , preferably with a South Indian Production background and a strong history of success.  3+ years experience

    If you can meet the challenges and rise to the top.  It is a role based out of Thailand and we expect the candidate to be responsible for the establishment as a Independent Head profit center growing with us as we build multiple restaurants over time in the South East of Asia.
    • 3 to 4 years of current Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager experience.
    • Strong Restaurant Manager operational background and knowledge.
    • Should possess exceptional people skills and problem solving skills.
    • The Restaurant Manager or General Manager should possess problem solving skills.
    • Top notch communication and writing skills.
    • Head the operational top-line and bottom line for the restaurant.
      Front end operations: -
      • Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
      • Managing service staff and kitchen staff providing them with feedback.
      • Responding to customer complaints.
      • Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards.
      • Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations.
      • Advising customers on menu  choice.
      • Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
      • Organizing and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiters and cleaning staff.
      Back end operations: -
      • Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
      • Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.
      • Organizing marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
      • Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
      • Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff developments.
      • Setting budgets and/or agreeing them with senior management.
      • Planning and coordinating menus.
      • Supervising indenting, receiving storage of raw materials
      • Responsibility of menu planning and execution of menu.
      • Recipe control, Food and Beverage cost control and quality control.
      • Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required.
      Housekeeping / Kitchen Stewarding :-
      • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, health and safety.
      • Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
      • Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
