General Manager for Retail Pharmacy Chain in USA

    Graduate with 10 to 15 years of experience in Retail Chain Pharmacies

    1. The Pharmacy General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Pharmacies and leading the team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians that work in these areas. 
    2. Should assume primary responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective and timely medication preparation and delivery in a consistent and reliable manner. 
    3. Responsible for day to day operations, personnel management and quality oversight of the compounding areas and is accountable for appropriate financial and human resource utilization in these areas. 
    4. Should actively monitor and, when appropriate, implement improvements in operational efficiency, quality control and financial performance.
    5. Should serves as a subject matter expert in compounding practices and familiar with recommendations of USP.

    6. Should assures compliance with the State Board of Pharmacy compounding regulations and requirements of other legal bodies and regulatory agencies.
    7. Responsible for the supervision of staff, and ensures the accuracy of employee timecards and leave records.
    8. Oversees pharmacy staff development, new employee orientation, and ongoing training of pharmacy staff.
    9. Assists in the recruitment and retention of competent Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Interns.
    10. Performs personnel performance evaluations and implements performance improvement and corrective action plans when necessary.
    11. Facilitates and supports staff, resident and student training experiences and competency assessments.
    12. Develops and enforces policies and procedures and ensures they are updated, understood and followed by staff in coordination with other members of the management team.
    13. Coordinate with members of the supply chain and finance teams on matters related to drug and supply use, inventory management and billing integrity.

    14. Maintains an emphasis on ongoing quality, safety and productivity initiatives.
    15. Actively manage human, capital, and operational resources to collaboratively support patient care services, medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, and quality assurance programs throughout the Department of Pharmacy.
    16. Maintains effective communication across staff, government bodies and Management.
    17. Consistently demonstrate professional attitude, skillfully negotiates conflict to promote collaboration.
    18. Acts as a positive role model for other staff members.
    19. Mentor pharmacist and elevate the standard of practice.
    20. Assumes other responsibilities as delegated by the Management.
