Rig Electricians for MB Petroleum LLC, Oman


    Main Responsibilities:

    1. To ensure the availability of all electrical equipment on the Rig or WPH, camp and associated vehicles and equipment.
    2. Implement the preventative Maintenance Procedure for all electrical equipment on the Rig and Camp and associated vehicles and equipment.
    3. Work in conjunction with the Rig Electrical Supervisor to develop and improve PM procedures to further enhance safety and efficiency.
    4. Carry out start-of shift checks on all electrical equipment.
    5. Review vehicle drivers daily checks and defect reports together with the rig mechanic.
    6. Maintain tools and test equipment in proper working condition.

    Secondary/Periodic Responsibilities:

    1. Complete daily status and performance reports, including details of any defects and repair action.
    2. Order and maintain stocks of spare parts and components necessary to ensure safe, efficient operation.

    3. Participation in Occupational and HSE Training for which you are nominated by your Supervisor, this can include, but is not limited to:
    Induction Training
    Occupational Training
    Job related HSE training
    Where applicable, further Driver training
    Emergency response training

    4. Participation in HSE meetings, which shall include general and specific matters.
    5. Participation in TBT, which will generally deal with HSE aspects of current work activities, but which from time to time will deal with specific hazard alerts and HSE information.
    6. Becoming sufficiently familiar with the company Operating Procedures which are applicable to you and your job.
    7. Following the instructions given by your Supervisor
    8. Using correctly the PPE and equipment as provided by the company for your protection.
    9. Compliance with Company HSE procedures and regulations.

    10. Compliance with all posted safety signs, inclusive of road traffic signs
    11. Inspecting and reporting any apparent defects in any tools, equipment, vehicle, etc which are used by you in the execution of your job.
    12. Reporting any accidents or near misses, however small, to your Supervisor.
    13. Communicating with your colleagues and reporting to your Supervisor, any condition or situation, which you feel may be safe.
