Undertaking pre-holiday research into local facilities.
Inspecting hotel for standard compliance, safety and cleanliness
Offering sightseeing advice
Organizing and leading excursions and entertainment
Liaising with accommodation owners, agents, coach companies etc
Customer and client problem solving
Resolving conflict with clients
Referring complaints and problems to senior management as appropriate
Writing reports
Collecting data on customer satisfaction and special requirements
Qualifications and training required
To qualify for this position, the prospective candidate should have some previous experience in a similar position with a reputable holidays company. A minimum of a certificate in leisure, travel, tourism or management will be required while a degree in the same field will be an advantage.
Experience gained within the hotel, tourism or travel trades (particularly overseas) will be preferred. Familiarity and knowledge of key holiday destinations, foreign language skills, first aid or a driving licence can also be useful. Airline ticketing and hotel pricing system systems hands on experience will be a definite advantage.
Any Expat with having contacts with tour/travel operators in Europe or have experience of bringing Business from European Countries to GCC is a plus for the role
