Interview for Vacancies in Oman's Leading Hypermarket

    We are currently hiring for International  Food Buyer and Fresh Food Manager positions with one of the leading Hypermart based out of Oman. Appended below is the job profile for your reference.

    Position: Food Buyer - 5 openings
    Position: Food Manager - 6 openings

    Work Location: Oman

    Qualification: Graduation or equivalent to that

    Preferably from Hypermarket / Supermarket background with Valid Passport

    Job Details:

    1. Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors

    2. Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors

    3. Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers

    4. Stay up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company

    5. Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies

      Position: Store Manager (5 openings)

      Work Location: Oman

      Qualification: Graduation or equivalent to that

      Job Details:

      To achieve the companys expectations by ensuring all operational requirements for the shopping mall is being met. Continuously improving the mall's operational functions and developing on an on-going basis.

      Building good relationships with tenants and communicating with them on a daily basis and improving the Shopping Mall Standard in all areas.

      80% of the duty time is to be on the floor making sure his /her presence is being felt by tenants store management, subcontractors and customers.

      20% of the duty time to spend on doing the checklist, preparing reports, communicating and executing strategic plans.

      Making sure all tenants are meeting the requirement of cleaning, customer, security, hygiene and safety requirements.

      Finding a solution to operational problems and escalating it to the Line Manager when required and then on to relevant staff and departments.

      Reports to line manager a daily update on what issues on actions that have been taken to rectify and what actions need to be taken to prevent from re-occurring.

      To work with the store operations as one team to achieve the ultimate shopping experience for customers.

      Regular maintenance checks and reports any issued immediately and to follow up with maintenance dept. to make sure it has been rectified and the necessary preventive action has been taken.

      To make sure the cleaning team is aware of what is expected from them and follow-up on an hourly basis and have a weekly meeting with the cleaning company/ loss and prevention dept. to communicate the week past and the week ahead.

      To make sure tenants are respecting the rules and regulations for receiving their good and don not leave their stock or equipment laying around other their designated areas.

      To communicate with the marketing department for tenants request or any additional review opportunities that may come up.

      To do a risk assessment for the building on a weekly basis and to take the necessary action needed and escalate if needed.

      To sure all signage is up to date and working day and night.
