Staff Mix-signal Electronics Engineer

Here Is a Glimpse Of What You will Do

• Plans, develops, coordinates and directs electrical development activities for new product programs.
• Develop electrical concepts, applies engineering theories and methods to investigate and identify solution for complex technical problems.
• Responsible for development, simulation and analysis of electronic concepts/circuits, PCB board optimization.
• Responsible for maintaining electronic product development progress per the schedule.
• Responsible for risk mitigation, design optimization, cost optimization and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) while meeting customers product quality vision.
• Responsible to achieve Flex as well as customers testing requirements (environmental tests, electrical tests, EMC, ESD, etc.) and agency requirements (UL, FCC, CSA, etc.).
• Influencing system architecture choices for new products considering product requirements, development risk, system cost and time to market.
• Develop detailed subsystem designs balancing cost and risk while ensuring high quality. Work with the rest of a cross functional team to transition the design to high volume manufacturing
• Participate in collaborative development activities with colleagues in other locations (Taiwan, China, USA, etc.)

Here is some of what you will need

• At least 5 years of experiences in consumer electronics product development environment.
• Strong foundation in electronic engineering fundamentals
• Experienced in :Mixed Signal Design, Power Supply Design (linear or switch-mode), High efficiency Audio Amplifier Design, WiFi, BTLE Radio Design, HDMI solution development and compliance testing, RF design inclusive of on board antenna (2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz), High speed design with signal integrity
• Strong knowledge and fundamentals on Analog design/simulation, and signal processing tools such as SPICE or MATLAB
• Microprocessor-based Embedded Systems Design

DSP Software Development Engineer

The DSP Software Staff Engineer will be based in Flex Systems , Penang (Batu Kawan).

Here is a glimpse of what you will do

• To design, code and verify DSP implementation for premium audio applications.
• Good fundamental understanding of audio systems design
• DSP algorithm development, implementation and optimisation, includes both high-level modelling (Matlab, C/C++) and assembler level optimisation on the target platforms.
• To investigate, build prototype and deliver new and innovative system solutions
• To characterise, analyze and optimize system level performance
• To participate in design reviews and responsible to document design work
• Work with new technologies that are critical to product development
• To deliver design plans and reports, architectural documents, design specs, software and firmware source code, build scripts

Electrical Electronics Component Staff Engineer

The Electrical Electronics Component Staff Engineer will be based in Flex Systems, Penang (Batu Kawan).

Here is a glimpse of what you will do

• Experienced electrical engineer to lead the reliability assessment of electronics components for audio and consumer electronic products developed in our R&D Engineering facility in Penang.
• An understanding of electronic component materials and manufacturing processes is highly desirable
• Assist and influence product design teams through identification and evaluation of electronic part selection risk and design considerations as they pertain to assess of component de-rating; system reliability and component quality
• Ensure that all electrical/electronic parts selected for integration into our products meet or exceed requirements for their intended use by providing technical expertise during component and supplier selection and part qualification.
• Provide knowledge of critical component testing, including all types of electronic components used in high volume consumer-based products including semiconductor ICs, passive and magnetic devices, pcb assemblies, and connectors, reliability, and HALT, based on internal standards and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis leading to root cause. Structure follow-on testing to aid in the failure analysis and issue findings to appropriate departments for corrective action.
• Provide component engineering support for the qualification of locally procured electrical/electronic components.
• support for both selection and qualification of electrical/electronic components as well as hands-on component evaluation and related testing
• Manage special projects as required for the development of new standards and procedures for electrical/electronic part reliability qualification and overall continuous improvements of processes.
• Provide subject matter expertise to EE design groups and product development teams; participate in design reviews and provide design process consulting to development teams as required.

RF Design Staff Engineer

The RF Design Staff Engineer will be based in Batu Kawan, Penang.

• Lead and participate in the design and development of consumer RF systems. In coordination with program managers and program champions, derive technical requirements, identify implementation approaches, and develop prototype systems to sense and exploit signals.
• Integrate, test, and evaluate RF signal collection, processing, devices, and systems. 
• Lead the development of test and evaluation criteria for RF devices at the board, unit, and system levels.
• Develop and lead execution of detailed procedures for carrying out device characterization tests.
• Identify test criteria, data collection requirements, and data analysis methodologies. 
• Analyze and report collected test data.
• Participate in the field evaluation of RF systems.
• Rapidly modify/update devices and software in the field according to test results and in response to emergent technical and operational requirements.

Embedded Software Lead Engineer 

Responsible for timely development of embedded application with cost, time and quality. Drive and influence the determination of new concept platform. Lead an experience team of engineers to achieve common goals. This role is to support new programs in embedded software and to manage external service provider when required.
