- Purpose of Role
Manage Supervisors to ensure work is processed safely and efficiently to meet agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Key Duties and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for safety of colleagues and visitors in production areas
Manage the Production team in line with best practice including training and development and performance management
Manage the engineering team to ensure the health, safety, and environmental standards and reliability is of the required quality.
Responsible for reviewing current production practices to ensure the team is set up to suit the ever-changing needs of the business.
Ensure correct factory manning is maintained through effective rota planning and publishing and holiday management to include introducing extra staff during peak periods.
Work closely with senior management at the site to ensure a consistent and clear production strategy is in place

Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum, utilising planned preventative maintenance procedures

To ensure the Plant and machinery is safely maintained to a high standard and breakdowns and repairs are handled efficiently.

Maintain plant equipment to a high standard of safety and complete all applicable safety documentation and work in line with all company safety policies and procedures
Ensure all PPM checks are completed to a high standard in line with the site schedule
