Roles and Responsibilities
- Attends regular toolbox meeting, understand and follow all instructions and work procedures.
- Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.
- Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
- Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
- Work with facility manager to continually update the production process and system software.
- Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
- Assess the condition of used parts using micrometres, callipers and specifications.
- Maintain parts and tools inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
- Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
- Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
- Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations
- Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during document review
- Comply with INTECH health and safety policies and general site safety rules and to report any injury, near miss or potentially unsafe condition / hazard or any other occurrence which may cause injury to personnel damage to equipment or affect the local environment using the correct reporting lines.
- Support and comply with Quality, HSE, Company Policies and ISO management system documentations and implementations
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Mechanical / Electrical technology vocational course graduate/certification.
- Adequate experience in the relevant field with any of the following industry (Oil - Gas / petrochemical, Power & Energy.
- Average in English (read, write and speak). Arabic is additional advantage.
