  • JOB EXPECTATIONS:

You will be tasked with ensuring the effective strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring and reporting to enhance the decision-making process of the Leadership Team and the Trustees. You will also ensure the IBS complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations and ensure that financial and administrative controls and processes support the effective running of the organization and operations support services.


  • JOB SPECIFICATION:

This would be an ideal opportunity for a qualified CPA/ CA/ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIWA accountant with 5-7 years functional experience in accounting and finance and also functional experience as a finance manager to a medium to large organization. He/she should possess good personal values to secure this excellent opportunity and to proactively enhance the growth of this young and aspiring University, with competent benefits to match.

  • JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate would be responsible for doing the following:

  • Responsibility for providing accurate and timely financial plans and reports including, but not limited to: -

Management Accounts

Monthly Cash flow statements

Routine and ad-hoc finance reports for senior management and departmental monitoring purposes

Developing five year rolling strategic plans

Statutory Accounts & audit liaison

Timely submission of all external reporting e.g. Internal Revenue Commission

Trustee reporting providing finance and other reports as required for meetings

  • Overall supervision and support all finance policies & internal control procedures for central accounting and financial processes
  • Ensuring annual insurance compliance, including renewals.


Candidate Profile:

A graduate with professional qualifications and functional experience.

CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIWA etc. is required. Experience in a similar role in large academic institutions or manufacturing industries would be an advantage.XERO or other accounting and financial software experience would be an advantage.
