Experience in Raw Materials Procurement

have experience in handling purchase in a large scale company.

In Sourcing and purchasing of Raw Material

Like Chrome Ore, Coke, Coal, Quartz, etc

And consumables for the Ferro Alloy plant

Locally and globally, with good negotiation skills

And with knowledge in preparation of

And verification of global contracts, coordination with

Accounts for LC processing and

Clearing and Forwarding agents for import of the materials.

• Coal and Chrome ore through auction. Iron ore procurement
• MS and SS scrap
• Ferro Alloys like Ferro Chrome, Ferro Manganese, Ferro Silicon and Silico Manganese.
• Fluxes like Bauxite, Quartz, Hydrated lime, Imported Dolo lime and quick lime, Dolomite and limestone
• Metals like copper and Aluminium
• Micro Alloys like Aluminium cored wire, Calcium cored wired and Titanium Cored wire

Warehouse, Customs & Scrap Yard Management :-

• Inventory control and Management
• Perpetual Inventory Management
• Disposal of Slow, Non Moving Items within plants and through commodity exchanges.
• Suggesting Alternate Items to user in place of new requested items to reduce inventory
• Customs clearance of all incoming goods
• EPCG licensing, sale of DEPB licences
• Managing Entire operations of Scrap yards to ensure uninterrupted supply of 0.8 million T per Anum scrap to steel plant.

Materials Management:-

• Formulating and implementing the project procurement strategy by developing/modifying strategy for purchase and establishing methods to achieve project targets and resource planning
• Finalising the specifications of materials, establishing quality & quantity limits for effective inventory control and reducing wastages

Key Result Areas:-

• Responsible for vendor development, PR-PO conversions,Rate Contracts,negotiations and prompt delivery
• Preparing procurement transactions through SAP-MM and devising weekly, monthly, quarterly procurement plan
• Planning for material procurement from national and international markets
• Developing material procurement plans by working in liaison with production department to maintain optimum inventory levels
• Generating reports on procurement and usage of material for top management
• Reviewing existing catalogue data to revise material specifications for physical verification at sites in coordination with Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations
• Handling user interaction for material changes management and process merger of duplicate items
• Evaluating proprietary materials in order to reduce inventory cost and provide technical support on materials specification and catalogue references
• Assisting in developing alternative specification and alternative sources to enhance catalogue with acceptable material specification and source in order to reduce monopoly by single source suppliers
• Maintaining and analysing MIS reports and presenting the same to top management
• Monitoring cost management, resource deployment, time over-runs & quality compliance to ensure execution of projects within the time & cost parameters

IT SKILLS :-

• Knowledge of SAP MM, SAP SRM, MDM etcRoles and Responsibilities

Qualification :- B.E./ DIP - Mechanical OR Any Graduate + P.G.Diploma in Materials Management
