Operator I (Onshore)

Operates and adjusts Transmission and Distribution facilities as directed by General Operator
/ Senior Operator within designated limits to ensure maximum reliability (uninterrupted) of gas supply to the consumers (Industries and Power Stations) on assigned shift. Will work on standby duty on a rotational basis. Regular checking, operating and troubleshooting of all GDS process and utility equipments at the field as assigned.
The Operator-I is expected to work as directed in any of the GDS areas covered by the
Transmission and Distribution Department.
The Operator I may be required to work on shifts depending on the area to which he is assigned Principle / Key.
Minimum 4 years of experience in operating process plant in the oil or petrochemical industry.


Field Operator (Offshore)

Participates in the start-up of the station, monitors all instruments during start-up procedures.

Prepares the start-up sequence for M.O.L & Formation pumps, by checking the system, and monitor pump instruments on a regular basis.

Assists as required, in unloading the supply boat, controls the movement of diesel water, chemicals, glycol to their respective storage tanks, keeping appropriate records of amounts transferred and the daily tank levels.

Prepares all chemicals for oil and gas treatment injection at specified rates. Regularly checks the chemical tank level and pump performance, advising of abnormalities.

Participates in the startup of the main gas compressor. Involves draining condensate from gas lines. Monitors all instruments during start up procedure and adjusts temperatures, pressures and levels of the system, as directed

Carries out the start-up and shutdown sequence for the glycol dehydration system, maintain lube oil pressures to the pumps, ensuring venting and priming of pumps have been carried out, checking glycol pump discharge pressure.

Takes various readings at different points of the process line and at regular intervals to calculate daily, the amount of oil produced, Gas consumed, flared and exported and carries out tests on moisture contents of exported gas.

Carries out pigging operations, involves preparing the correct size pigs.

Participate in the start-up and shutdown of auxiliary equipment, such as tempered water and sea water cooling pumps, Water maker, instrument air compressors and the chlorine unit.
