Accountant for Druk Wood Manufacturing Group, Bhutan

Manufacturing Cost Account

Druk Wood Manufacturing Group is a leading wood manufacturing company in Bhutan located in Gelephu, a few minutes from Indian border. 

We are looking to hire an experienced cost accountant with background in manufacturing industries. 

The compensation package includes a competitive salary along with a generous bonus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Record day to day financial transactions and process bill payments
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of all accounts to ensure accuracy
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements
• Ensure timely distribution of all products to customers
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve mutual satisfaction
• Ensure timely processing monthly payroll
• Financial forecasting for end of year projections and budgeting for month to month expenses
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
• Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, and liability accounts 
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Develop financial and tax strategies
• Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
• Proficient in QuickBooks online or similar financial software
• 5 or more years of related experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience in the wood manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
