- Roles and Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to drive the profitable growth and deliver on the agreed matrix, which shall be a combination of return on assets, return on equity and capital employed and operational excellence.
- Put in place the strategy for the bank in consultation with CEO and Board.
- Set the goals and objectives in collaboration with the Board and CEO and monitor the progress, of the stated deliverables.Utilize the resources to attain the formulated goals
- Build the right teams for rolling out /augmenting the business in the areas of : Corporate banking, Transaction banking, Global markets and Private banking
- Build the optimal infrastructure for the bank, including but not limiting to : Legal & Compliance, Technology and Risk (Credit, operations and Market) among others.
- Strategize expansion of business in the neighbouring countries (Europe) and seek opportunities in other continents as well
- Excellent track record of running a commercially successful organization, with specific focus towards wholesale banking.
- Excellent leadership with exposure to handling of multi-culture and multi-national professionals.
- Excellent analytical skills leading to negotiation and decision making
- Comprehensive domain knowledge and awareness of best-in-class practices (existing as well as emerging)
- Exposure to change management / playing the role of navigator in transforming an organization
- While not a must, it preferable that the person has knowledge of local markets and regulatory environment.
