Post: Safety Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Qualification: Civil /Mechanical

Experience: 8 - 13 years 

Location: Oman 

Profile: 
Responsible for all facet of the facilitys Department of Transportation, Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.
Knowledge in OHSAS 18001 
Ensuring all Statutory compliances on OHSAS (Occupational Health Safety Assessment Series)
Training, Security and Regulatory Compliance. Served as primary contact for regulatory agencies. 
plant audits and inspections.

Advise and assist the Site Management in fulfillment of its Safety and Health Policy and Statutory requirements. 
Planning and organizing measures necessary for effective control of personal injuries.
Ensure safety requirement of construction activities at Project Construction Site.
Organize site so that work is carried out to the required standards with minimum risk to Men, Materials and Machineries.
To provide adequate and up to date safety instruction to all employees through Tool Box Talks.
Carry out Site Safety Inspection.
Conducting Safety Audit on regular basis.
Identify Potential accident risks and develop prevention, control and mitigation measures to eliminate accident risk.
Conducting internal Safety Audits for construction sites
Investigation & Reporting of accidents / incidents and implementation of recommendation to parent reoccurrence.
Provide daily Tool Box Talks 
Provide PPES for the workers
Conducting Induction Training (For New comers of the Site)
Maintaining OHS Register & JSA ,TSTI,HAZOP Studies
Conducting Safety meetings and other promotional activities
Maintaining Risk register (Regarding each Job)
Find the unsafe actions, Conditions of Site
Maintain PPE Stock register 
Check the Work permit before starting each work
Check the Toxic gas presence of confined Space
Reviewing incidents and helping supervisors complete incident reports; 
Facilitating investigation of the incident. 
Making recommendations for preventing similar incidents. 
Investigating and reporting on all incidents, injuries and occupational health problems and notifying Occupational Health and Safety of incidents and hazards in line with reporting requirements.
Conducting Mock drills frequently for ensuring the operability of entire system
