Description:
Cisco's Prime Service Catalog software team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to design and build solutions for new generation Prime Service Catalog.

The successful candidate will design and develop software for next generation of Prime Service Catalog. We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with expert level understanding of a Java based enterprise Web application framework with a range of knowledge and skills listed below.

Job responsibilities:
Develop and deliver features for all areas of the product i.e. from UI to backend.
Develop and deliver features on time and with quality
Contribute to work being done for Platform Scalability, Clustering, Redundancy, High Availability
Suggest improvements to product to make the application high performing.
Work as part of a high performance team in a fast paced, high visibility environment on a Cisco Top 3 initiative
Collaborate with other teams across locations, mainly India development center in Bangalore.
Mentor junior developers.

Requirements
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related fields
10+ years of experience in software development
8+ years of experience in development of large distributed enterprise applications (scalable, reliable, available, distributed)
Expert level knowledge of Java, J2EE, Struts, Tiles, Spring, Servlets, JSPs
Expert level knowledge of SOA and Java Web Services - REST, SOAP, XML, XSL
In-depth knowledge of Application servers like JBoss and Weblogic.
Knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, JSON
Knowledge of workflows
Detailed knowledge of security and performance tools
Familiarity with RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and Data Access (SQL & Stored Procedures)
Familiarity with Ant, JUnit, Eclipse
Hands on experience in Java Performance Tuning
Ability to work on multiple projects and be able to change direction quickly based on business drivers
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
A self-starter. Works well with others.
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to make tradeoffs between ideal requirements and resource limitations.
Keep abreast with new technologies, systems, requirements, interfaces, components, frameworks
Effective, professional communication with the other in engineering, management, marketing, sales, testing, support, partners, suppliers, professional peers and with customers.
